Meet a few of Our Members

Mindy Cassel

Bass, Builder, and Biker

Meet Mindy, a "loud mouth bass" in the best way, bringing her vibrant energy and deep voice to the local music scene in Glen Burnie. With roots in Hershey, PA, Mindy's lifelong musical journey includes percussion in bands and orchestras, and extensive vocal experience with choirs and the Greater Harrisburg Chorus.

Beyond music, Mindy is an active adventurer and skilled builder. She enjoys motorcycle rides (even to Colorado!), swimming a mile for charity, and completely remodeling her home with her wife, Eileen. A retired Certified Massage Therapist and a dedicated Ravens fan, Mindy lives by her own wise words: "Spend as much time with family as you can, and don't put off things you want to do." She cherishes her wife, furry children, and large extended family.

Leone Craven

Leone Craven: Accomplished & Community-Minded

Meet Leone Craven, a co-founder of Chesapeake Harmony and our vibrant lead singer! Splitting her time between Maryland and Milwaukee, Leone's passion for music started young, with her first professional performance at just five.

Beyond her captivating voice, Leone is an avid birder, enjoys drawing, crocheting, and puzzles, and loves a good mystery novel.

With a background in Mass Communication and Psychology, Leone prioritizes kindness and values strong connections. Her philosophy: "Leave nothing nice unsaid." She cherishes her family (including her cats!) and the friendships within Chesapeake Harmony.

Marge McGugan

Lead, Theatrical Designer, & Sports Fan

Meet Marge McGugan, a dynamic member of our Lead section! Retired from teaching, Marge now uses her skills as a talented costume designer for local theater, often at Laurel Mill Playhouse, where she also acts.

A proud Philadelphian with a love for Japanese culture, Marge is also an avid baseball fan who stamps her "passport" at stadiums, cheering for the Orioles, Phillies, Ravens, and Eagles.

Marge serves as Chesapeake Harmony Chorus's Secretary and Events Coordinator. Singing is her ultimate stress reliever—she'll sing anywhere! She cherishes family time with her children, grandson, and two grand-dogs. In her "spare" time, Marge enjoys sewing, gardening, and evaluating plays.
